FAQs about the Food Coach Academy

1) How much does it cost?

$4496 (which includes a 25% discount) to the first 50 students. This is significantly less than the top Health Coaching course and at the FCA you get to practice as both a health coach and a cooking instructor.

2) Do we work with not-for-profit organizations?

Our mission at the FCA is to train those who live, worship or work with underserved populations to change the health, access to healthy food, and cooking skills of those who need it most. Because of this, we are actively reaching out to non-profits to pay to put those they serve through the Academy so that they can go out into their community and make a positive, nourishing, uplifting change based on an individual's wallet, palate, and cultural heritage. Look for one in your community - a church, school or not-for-profit organization and put them in touch with Dr Kennedy who is donating her time to help them set this up. You can reach her at culinaryrehab@gmail.com

3) How long do I have to take the class?

You can take as long as you need to finish the courses.  There is no time limit.

4) Do I have to start the course at a certain time?

No. There is no start date, and you can enroll at any time during the year and go at your own pace.

5) How long will it take to take the courses?

There are 13 courses in the FCA and 3 terms. It is estimated that you can complete the courses within a year.  It all depends on how much you practice the skills we teach; cooking, coaching, and assessing.

6) Where can I hope to find a job after I graduate?

You can look to the healthcare industry and health prevention programs to find jobs - hospitals, healthcare settings, clinics, community healthcare organizations, employers, and more. In addition, there will be other, unique opportunities as the field of culinary medicine explodes, including restaurants, food pantries, teaching kitchens, Food is Medicine Centers and companies that make medically tailored meals, and much more.
